MSGI Installed New Cutting-Edge Video
Surveillance Security System at the VA Outpatient Clinic, Daytona
Beach, Florida
The Project
The William V. Chappell, Jr., VA Outpatient Clinic, a 68,000 sq. ft. facility located on 551 National Health Care Drive, Daytona Beach, Florida, provides a broad range of general and specialized medical, dental, surgical, psychiatric, nursing and ancillary services. Its veteran patient population requires a complexity of care that ranges from minor health care needs to urgent care. This outpatient clinic needed to install a non-invasive video surveillance security system to enhance the safety of its staff and patients, deter theft or vandalism, and enable investigations of any incidents within this facility.
Multi-Services Group International (MSGI) Corporation, a Business
Solutions & Services company headquartered in Tampa, Florida,
recently completed the installation of a cutting-edge Video
Surveillance System in this Daytona Clinic.
The Solution
The digital video surveillance system installed by MSGI provides high quality image capturing and recording and offers multi server administration network capabilities for unlimited camera support. This surveillance system greatly enhances the security for patients and medical staff, as well as for vendors and any other visitors. It also facilitates investigations by allowing security staff to play back recorded images for analysis. The footage can be recalled and viewed simply by inputting the date and time of an incident. Footage can also be recorded to DVD’s that may serve as portable evidence if necessary.
The patented software technology used at the Daytona VA Outpatient Facility provides a high compression rate of 250 to 1 which allows 10 times more storage and bandwidth than most competitive systems. Mr. Khaled Sardouk, MSGI’s IT Director, said about the success of project, “Installing a surveillance system to monitor the Daytona Outpatient Clinic premises tremendously enhances the quality of security and monitoring at this facility. We understand how the VA Police Department strives to provide only the best secured premises to their visitors and employees, so our team was pleased to help in achieving this objective.”
MSGI Engineering Team has installed similar video surveillance security systems in VA Medical Centers such as in The Orlando VA Medical Center. The system installed in Orlando established a remote surveillance center that connected the Orlando Facility to The James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa, Florida. MSGI’s Video Surveillance Systems offers a complete line of video surveillance products based on the seamless integration of hardware and the latest software technology. MSGI Video Surveillance Systems are fully compatible to analog CCTV systems and digital networks and can be customized and up-graded to suit each client’s needs.
