2006 Press Releases
MSGI Corporation is pleased to announce we have been contracted by the USNS Mercy to provide training services and support in an exciting new area of the Theater Management Information Program (TMIP) Support for the United States Navy.
May 2nd, 2006 The United States Navy Ship Mercy is a hospital ship whose primary mission is to provide an afloat, mobile, acute-surgical medical facility to the US military that is flexible and capable of supporting expeditionary warfare. Her secondary mission is to provide medical and surgical services, afloat and ashore to support US disaster relief and humanitarian operations worldwide.
MSGI has placed one of our most knowledgeable senior staff members, Mr. Michael Bedwell, on board the USNS Mercy for approximately thirty days as she transits from Hawaii to the Republic of the Philippines. Michael will be training the medical staff and NGO riders in the use of the TMIP software for use during their six month Humanitarian mission to the Pacific Rim. He will be setting up the Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care (MC4) laptop computers and Battlefield Medical Information Systems Tele-medicine (BMIST) handheld devices for use both aboard the ship and ashore. In addition, he will also be providing the system administration support.
We are excited about this joint effort using MC4 equipment
and software loads, interacting with the Joint Medical Work
Stations (JMeWS) and providing the business process development
support to this humanitarian mission.
