MSGI’s MC4 Program Supports JTF Katrina and Rita

September 22nd, 2005 - This year marks five years of service for MSGI Corporation. Our staff has had one of the busiest summer seasons ever and we are headed into the fall months with even more challenges to face.

The recent devastation our nation is facing in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina is yet another challenge and each of us has been touched by the losses in some way. Today we are facing the upcoming Hurricane Rita which will go down as the third most intense hurricane on record in the Atlantic Basin. It is almost a certainty that it will make landfall as a large, intense, major hurricane with impacts extending well away from the center.

We take great pride in providing hard work this year and most especially for the support our MC4 Program is currently providing for our soldiers in Louisiana. MSGI’s MC4 staff is currently deployed to New Orleans in support of the 14th Combat Support Hospital from Fort Benning, GA. The 14th CSH’s JTF Katrina has sent more than 250 soldiers that are providing ‘level three’ support for the troops there. They have implemented a hospital with more than 200 beds, including intensive care, surgery, radiology, a lab and a pharmacy.

The deployed MC4 Staff have successfully implemented and are maintaining the fully integrated IT communications, to include the network servers, pc’s, laptops, and handheld devices. In addition MC4 Staff have established the capability to provide immediate training for these resources. This capability for the 14th CSH is enabling personnel at all echelons to exchange crucial medical information via audio, digital, video and electronic media. As the MC4 staff has participated in over two dozen MC4 fielding and full training actions to US Army organizations world wide they were well prepared to support JTF Katrina and the upcoming JTF Rita.
